Description: This webinar will talk about how to connect with children who are oppositional, shy, or distant. For many children interacting is very uncomfortable. Speaking is very uncomfortable. Therefore, the use of the ball or the phone can help a child express some of those feelings. The webinar will show different ways to use the ball and the phone in order to talk with the child.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to understand symbolism behind these techniques.
- Participants will be able to see examples of how these techniques are used.
- Participants will be able to better understand these techniques using their own theoretical approach in working with children.

Description: This webinar addresses the use of money, allowance, bribing, fiscal responsibility, etc.
with children. In order to help a child succeed, money cannot be used as an incentive. To teach fiscal
responsibility one needs to implement “an allowance because I love you” system.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to understand the theory behind “allowance”.
- Participants will be able to learn techniques that children and parents can use in order tosucceed in learning financial responsibilities.
- Participants will be able to apply the theory and the technique to their clients.
- Participants will see how this is “played” out in the play therapy room.
