Understandably, a lot of people are anxious today. Alongside the challenges of quarantine, isolation and fear a little virus is reminding us to drop our illusion of control and to come together to make a world a better place. Now we know that we are all in the same boat.
The main focus in logotherapy for overcoming stress and anxiety is attitude and perspective. We tend to downplay the role of perspective in change, preferring to look for tools and techniques. There is a place for techniques, but they are an outflow of noticing the lies we tell ourselves and learning to see ourselves differently and see the world differently. The first part of perspective is how you see yourself.
