These are the things that work best for me.
1) Disobey the OCD! Whatever it is telling me to I try to do the opposite. (For instance if it's telling me to avoid people I try to go around as many people as possible.)
2) Sit with the anxiety. If I feel anxious in a situation I try to STAY there even though I want to get out as fast as possible.
3) Thinking of the OCD as a bully that's taunting me rather than something that has anything meaningful to say.
4)Taunting the OCD (example: "Yeah OCD you've said that to me a million times. What else you got?"
5) OCD playlist - This is a list of songs I listen to that poke fun at some of my OCD themes. Songs include "It's the End of the World as we Know it" and "I kill Children" by the Dead Kennedys
6) When I feel like things are okay, but the OCD tells me it's just an illusion I say "Oh well I guess I'll enjoy the illusion then."
7) When the OCD tells me I caused something bad to happen I agree. "Yup, I caused that car crash, better watch out or I'll cause some more."
8) Laughter. Find something funny. Anything. It's hard to be scared when you're laughing.
9) My faith. This one's tricky because I have to make sure I don't use prayer as a compulsion, but my faith in God does strengthen me.
10) Staying in the moment. If I think about coping with OCD in the longterm it seems impossible, but if I think "I can cope for this one moment" it's doable
