Social History: Client is a middle aged married employed male. Client was born to a lower class family and was originally employed as a stable boy. He worked his way up to the ranks through his prowess in the military. He became king through his first marriage to Vashti, daughter of Nevuchadnetzar. He is the ruler of 127 nations. He has been married twice, has one son, and has hundreds of women in his harem.
Clinical History: Client has a long history of drinking alcoholic beverages in excess, forgetting what he was doing while he was drinking, sustained memory loss, impaired insight and judgment, As king, he does not experience legal problems as a result of his behavior, however, were he a commoner, it is not unlikely that he would experience greater compromise. For example, once when he was drunk, he had his beloved wife killed when she refused to listen to him, rather than realizing that he could manage the situation in other ways. He did demonstrate remorse about his behavior once he achieved sobriety. His emotional state while drinking is generally composed, as evidenced by his approach to take a walk in the garden when enraged during a drinking party and by his willingness to approach advisors for advice when drunk. He demonstrates dependency on others by relying on his advisors' advice without considering whether this is in his best interest or in the best interest of the country, including the advisors at his party and on Haman. He will try to please those around him who serve as his sources of esteem and encouragement. Client demonstrates some mood instability, which may relate to his difficulty in self-concept, low self-esteem, and needing to prove his superiority to others. Client has very few friends and limited social support. He has fears that others will attack him, though this is likely to be founded rather than paranoid ideations as this has taken place during his lifetime.
