Establishing Your Clinical Identity:
Values, Practice, and the Self of the Therapist in Sex Therapy

This class provides IAPST credits which are eligible for credits toward Certification as a Sex Therapist.  See iapst.org/certification

See complete list of certificates available in the Accreditation tab

This three-hour professional development workshop invites clinicians—particularly those working in sex therapy and related fields—to explore the evolving nature of their professional and personal identities. Participants will examine how values, beliefs, and biases inform clinical decision-making; how one’s presence and self-presentation influence the therapeutic process; and how digital visibility and online behavior shape public and professional credibility. Through reflective exercises, group dialogue, and applied activities, clinicians will learn to articulate a coherent clinical identity that integrates authenticity, ethical integrity, and self-care.
