  • Scope of training, definitions (anxiety vs. trauma responses)

  • Trauma-informed lens + “window of tolerance” preview

40 Minutes | Section 1: Neurobiology of Anxiety + Trauma Overlap 

  • Threat system, amygdala/hippocampus/PFC roles

  • Trauma conditioning, triggers, and dysregulated arousal

  • Mapping symptoms to neurobiological mechanisms

40 Minutes | Section 2: Trauma-Informed Assessment & Screening 

  • Differential: anxiety disorders vs trauma-related presentations

  • Screening approach, pacing, and safety considerations

  • Case vignette: formulating a trauma-informed hypothesis

5 Minutes | Break

40 Minutes | Section 3: Evidence-Based, Trauma-Informed Interventions

  • Stabilization and regulation skills aligned with neurobiology

  • Reducing retraumatization risk during exposure/processing choices

  • Matching interventions to stage of treatment + readiness

40 Minutes | Section 4: Implementation, Resources, and Q&A

  • Treatment planning: goals + sequencing

  • Three retraumatization-prevention practices (and implementation steps)
