Joy Epstein

I am an MSW psychotherapist with specialized training in family therapy. I have 30 years of experience in the public and private sector counseling individuals, couples and families. I maintain a private practice in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion. I am a resident adolescent and family therapist at Kav L'Noar in Jerusalem. I work with adolescents, young adults, couples and families, helping them to address issues related to adjustment, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, sexuality, abuse and trauma. With couples, my work focuses on communication, strengthening relationships, intimacy, parenting and loss. In the therapy room I offer a safe and accepting environment which enables my clients to open up and share the stories and experiences that they carry with them. Through my warmth, compassion, and care we can begin to explore the challenges, hurts, losses, and emotional blueprints that have affected their relationships. Through this dynamic process I help the client to explore their experiences on a deeper level and to uncover and discover new insights and understandings of themselves and their relationships with others. Our work together provides new opportunities for authentic growth, self acceptance, and change. I received my MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work and studied Family Therapy at the Pacific Coast Family Therapy Institute in Vancouver, BC.
