 Ellen has brought over 25 years of experience helping people of all ages redefine their relationship with food.  Ellen devotes much time to those suffering from eating disorders and their narratives.  Ellen has co- facilitated workshops for teens (TEEN-ESTEEM WORKSHOP) and for women (FOOD and YOU WORKSHOP).  Ellen presents interactive workshops for religious girls seminaries in Israel based on creating healthy relationships with food, body image, and the surrounding culture.  She is a consultant and receives referrals from concerned rabbis, administrators, teachers, therapists, and parents-both in Israel and abroad- related to behavioral patterns of eating disorders.

Ellen has served as a consultant abroad concerning dancers, diets, and weight related issues. Ellen’s other areas of interest include:  teens and body image, child sexual abuse,  issues of loneliness, creating lasting and satisfying relationships, creating safety for couples in therapy, support and empowerment of battered and sexually abused women, navigating through the divorce process, making second marriages work!, menopausal issues,…. And beyond!

Ellen’s experience includes working at Transition House- a refuge for battered women in Cambridge, Mass. USA. Ellen’s studies in Narrative Therapy include intensive workshops with David Epston of New Zealand, Gene Combs and Jill Freedman of Chicago, USA,  Cheryl White and David Denborough of Australia, and Walter Bera of Minnesota.Ellen’s work is always creative, gentle and collaborative with an emphasis on helping the client discover new satisfying narratives for themselves.
