The adults I see in my practice typically want to deepen their relationships, enjoy their work more, allow themselves to feel pleasure, imagine more, and pursue their dreams. Whlle addressing my patients' presenting problem, we often find it manifests itself in many areas of their lives. Together, we work on understanding the underlying dyanmics that have resulted in one's symptoms and over time it becomes easier to loosen the ties that bind one to one's past.  I help children who are having a hard time, be it at home, in school, or with their peers. Through play and talk, I help children resume the important tasks of childhood.  My 20 + years of clinical experience, and my strong background in child development and psychoanalytic psychotherapy provide a firm foundation to my work with children and their parents, and the adults I see.

I also run two groups:  a group for stay-at-home dads and a group for moms with infants and toddlers.
