How Long Will This Take? Managing Expectations of Grief Process

Clara Sainte
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern
3 CE Credits | Individual class: $59.99

Navigating the grieving process can be a deeply personal and often confusing journey. This course is designed to provide clarity and guidance on the dynamics of grief duration and expectations. Participants will delve into the emotional, cognitive, and physical dimensions of grief, gaining insights into why expectations about grief can differ widely among individuals and cultures. They will explore factors that influence these expectations, such as personal beliefs, societal norms, and past experiences, and gain tools to manage and adjust these expectations effectively.

Class 2

Pleasure in Transition: Sexual Wellbeing Through Midlife and Menopause

Sandra E. Pascual, PhD
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Eastern
2 CE Credits | Individual class: $39.99

This webinar will provide therapists and mental health professionals with a clinically relevant understanding of how the menopause transition can affect sexuality, emotional wellbeing, body image, identity, relationships, desire, and pleasure. Using a biopsychosocial, sex-positive, and culturally responsive framework, we will examine common concerns that may emerge in therapy, challenge myths about sexuality and aging, and explore how cultural beliefs, gender expectations, and diverse lived experiences can shape clients’ experiences of menopause and sexual wellbeing.

The second part of the webinar will focus on practical clinical applications for therapists. Participants will learn strategies for initiating conversations about menopause and sexuality, assessing sexual concerns with greater confidence and sensitivity, supporting clients through changes in desire, intimacy, and sexual self-concept, and recognizing when collaboration or referral to other healthcare professionals may be appropriate. The goal is to help therapists integrate conversations about menopause, pleasure, and sexual wellbeing into clinical practice in an inclusive, affirming, and culturally sensitive way.
